Bharat AI Initiative is a group of senior domain experts who have come together in national interest to start engagement with the government of India in her quest of absorbing Artificial Intelligence in governance.
This initiative is based on their experience that the biggest challenge in the B-to-G space is getting the right technology at the right time. As AI is evolving far too rapidly for the processes of the government to identify appropriate technology and procure it before it gets obsolete, there is a dire need to find a way around this policy-problem. As there is no formal solution for this problem within the current mechanism of procurement, Bharat AI Initiative is conceived to be a pro-bono advisory citizen group that can assist the state machinery to shorten the journey of acquiring suitable AI technological framework.
Bharat AI Initiative plans to reach out to the government to evolve the idea into a permanent platform that can keep serving the cause of the nation as the nation is rearing to occupy a leadership role in the global AI space.
We are also happy to engage with entrepreneurs to help them engage with the government.
